A FOR AND AGAINST ESSAY LOWERING THE AGE PEOPLE CAN GET A DRIVING LICENSE

It’s a question that comes from a lot of years: When people can get their driving license? Many students want to get it when they are sixteen or seventeen and they can’t because of the actual law that has put the minimum age on 18.
On one hand taking the driving license earlier, at 16 will be better for a lot of students that now need to be driven by their parents to the places: school, gym,… They won’t need people to carry them and they will be preparated to go everywhere alone.
But on the other hand changing the law will cause a lot of other problems. The traffic on the cities will increase a lot, and related to this also the pollution will increase in cities. People younger than 18 aren’t preparated enough to can drive freely in highways or in the cities and the number of accidents will also be bigger.
In conclusion I think that the age of 18 to can start driving it’s the correct time when you can start driving because I think that if we reduced this minimum age the problems would be bigger than the good things.

DESCRIPTION OF A PLACE-BERGA

Berga is a little city situated in the central part of Catalonia, in the North-East of Spain. It has got a population of 16.000 people approximately. It’s situated between the “Depressió Central” and the “Pre-Pirineus”. It’s a beautiful city rounded by mountains in one site and plane in the other. In it you can’t find a lot of very tall buildings, but the big part of the population live in flats. There are two parts of Berga where almost all the buildings are unfamiliar houses, The Pedregals and La Valldan.
The most popular thing of Berga is its festivity La Patum. La Patum is a festival where fire, dance, religion, tradition and a lot of music are mixed. The most popular place of Berga is the St.Pere square where Patum takes place. The “Carrer Major” is the principal street of Berga where we can find a lot of shops and bars. In the “Passeig de la Indústria” you can go for a walk or do sport. The most beautiful church in Berga is Sta. Maria de Queralt, it isn’t situated inside the city, it’s in the top of a mountain in front of Berga. I think Berga is a very beautiful place to live and it’s not very big but you can find all the services and comforts that you need.

BARÇA DEFEATS ARSENAL IN A FASCINATING MATCH(2-3)

F.C Barcelona defeated Arsenal FC yesterday, 16th of February of 2011 in the Emirates Stadium in London. This was the first match of two in the eight-final round in the Champions league. In the first half Arsenal played better than the Spanish team and their scorer Robbie Van Persie played almost perfect and scored the two goals of the British team but in the last minute of the first half Lionel Messi putted Barcelona in the match again. Then, in the second half Barça with Xavi, Iniesta and Messi took the control of the game and Barça won the match with two goals of David Villa. In the end of the match the coach of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger was very angry and disappointed with this result and also with the decision of the referee to eject out of the game the goalkeeper of the “Gunners”, a decision for him that changed completely the match and helped the victory of Barça. The match of the Camp Nou would be probbably one of the most interesting matches of this season in the European football and if Barça could arrive to the quarterfinals it would be one of the teams with more options to win the tittle.

If you really believe in luck and you want to match a wonderful store and the landscapes of India you should watch Slumdog Millionaire.

The film is about an Indian, Jamal Malik who takes part in a TV programme called “Who wants to be a millionaire”. Jamal isn’t an intelligent man. He had a difficult childhood and he and his brother had a lot of problems to survive in this giant country. Jamal has the luck that all the questions of the quiz are related to things that have happened to him in his life. Finally, he gets the large quantity of money and his girlfriend can escape from a mafia where Jamal’s brother worked, and he sacrifices his life to save him,

Slumdog Millionaire has got a great plot, and a wonderful story that shows the poor situation of millions of people in India. I like it a lot and I recommend everyone to watch this film.
